This is the guy offered us to have lunch at his house, for 20rmb
Ba Mei, a lesser known village. The bus ride took about 1 1/2 hour to reach Fa Li village, from there we walked about 2 km along a stone paved road to Ba Mei village. The admission fees is 40rmb/person, where we are lead to take a bamboo raft ride going through a dark cave, leading to the village at the end of the cave. The whole village is surrounded by mountains, within the village is farming land, peaceful and seems like we are the only two tourist in the village. One of the villager offered us homecook meal, he asked for 20rmb so we give to him. What we read about Ba Mei in the Chinese magazine is that they claim it to be very beautiful, personally, I think it is not worth to spend time travelling all the way here, there is nothing to do here, scenery just ok, nothing special. We decided not to stay here for the night (you can stay with one of the villager with maybe around 50rmb/night) since there is nothing to look forward. We then took a second raft ride, a short walk then a donkey ride (road is bumpy). The only thing makes this place special is the caves, which hid the village from the outside whole and the moving water cart, which provides water to the whole village.
