I traveled from Stuga, Macedonia to Tirana, Albania by bus. A challenging adventure. Alot of what you read about Albania.....well, it's true. It's a struggle at times but, there are gems to be found in this part of the Balkans that is like no other. If you can handle the troubles, the reward it great.

What are those things on the roof?

When we reached Elbasan, I noticed something strange. The houses all have metal or plastic tanks on their roofs with piping into the house. Also, it seems that people here dry their laundry on the roof......different......and quite colorful.
