I traveled from Stuga, Macedonia to Tirana, Albania by bus. A challenging adventure. Alot of what you read about Albania.....well, it's true. It's a struggle at times but, there are gems to be found in this part of the Balkans that is like no other. If you can handle the troubles, the reward it great.

Boarder crossing (Macedonia to Albania)

We finally leave Struga and only 15 minutes later we are at the border. Another 45 minutes or so is spent with the passport checks of the Macedonian and Albanian border guards. Only 30 minutes after that, we stop for food..?! Now, everyone else had been on the bus for quite awhile but, I was really frustrated, by now.

When we finally get moving the scenery is quite interesting. There are mountains like Macedonia but, it's warmer here, and much greener. There are farms and animals everywhere. We even had to stop the bus for a COW in the road.
