Whale sharks and fugu fish

Today I went to the aquarium. Bought the one day Kaiku pass for both the subway and the aquarium for 2400 Yen, a few yen cheaper than the single ticket approach. Took the subway to the Osaka Harbor, and it was another 10 minute walk to the aquarium. The aquarium was organized as many subsecctions corresponding to the ring of fire of the Pacific Ocean. The most popular attractions are the two whale sharks who live in the main tank. It's a big tank, but still it was sad to see such maginificant creatures limit their roaming range. It took about 2 hours to finish the aquarium.

The Suntory museum right next to the aquarium didn't have the gallery open today, a new show starts tomorrow, so I passed on that and its IMAX  theature. I grabbed a simple lunch and headed back, it started to rain so I canceled my Osaka castle trip, because my feet were hurting from several blisters.

For dinner I met up with my parents in Dotonbori, a very popular tourist destination food street and shopping area, and tried some of those puffer fish cooked in many different ways. It tasted different from regular fish, but I don't think I would die for it! We all survived the feast and went back to the hotel for an early rest.
