I went back to the hotel, had breakfast. And mid morning, we took a taxi to the nearest Haeundae train station. It was a short ride, and cost only 2200 won, but the driver was not willing to pull the car in front of the station itself, since it required making a u-turn, and we had to lug our luggages across the street. This was a difference in national spirit between Japan and Korea, the Japanese were much more polite and took care of older people, but the Koreans were more hardnosed (althought later in the day our taxi driver was very kind in taking care of my dad)
A train was leaving for Gyeongju in a few minutes and the tickets were cheap at 5600 won per person. It took about an hour and a half and then we were in Gyeongju.
