My 10week trip from Bahrain, UAE, Australia and New Zealand!

Sight Seeing

National Museum

The second and already the last day to see something of Bahrain. At 6am the alarm of Daniel went but it was way too early for me to wake up. Stayed in my bed and at noon I asked the reception to get a taxi and asked him if he could bring me to the National Museum of Bahrain. She called the taxi and then I asked if she knows how much the entrance of the Museum costs, but she starts calling the taxi again and said that the taxi will costs about 4 Dinar. But that’s not what I meant, anyway I said thank you and went outside to get the taxi.
The entrance of the museum was just half a dinar which means 1 euro. I have to admit that I don’t go to museum so often because I don’t like it. But this one was good to see.
It is about the period before Christ and after Christ. I really liked the part of the traditional clothes. Why and how they are wearing all these clothes.

In another hall they made a market which was nice to see. Unfortunately I did not see a real market.

One hour later I took a taxi back to the City Centre. The place where I’ve been the day before. I took something to eat and walked around. Tried to find flip-flops but I couldn’t find some.
After shopping, without buying anything, I took the taxi back home and relaxed a little. The driver didn’t speak English and I did not speak Arabic so it was mission impossible to speak. We tried to learn each other some words in our languages. When we arrived the meter said: 3.4000 Dinar and I gave exactly what it said. But he told me that I had to pay 1 dinar more. The reason? I don’t know, he couldn’t explain me because he did not speak any word of English. I said: No, sorry! And walked away. I was just not sure if it was ok what I did so I asked Daniel immediately and it was ok.

In the evening we went to a beautiful Fort. It was really dark and we were the only visitors. There is a great view with the fort and behind all the big buildings with a lot of lights. There was no information available about the fort so we had to make a story by our self.

At 8 pm we took the car back to the city and drove to the biggest shopping mall ‘Seef’. We just had dinner at an Italian restaurant. It was already late so we went back home.
