My 10week trip from Bahrain, UAE, Australia and New Zealand!

Sick & Burned

Feeling hot, cold, hot, cold. Yesterday i didn't feel well and this morning it was the same. But I had to go out. Woke up at 10 am and leave of the hostel at 11.15am.

There are two 'suburbs' the London Circuit and the Parliamentary zone. My hostel was situated in the London Circuit and most of the sightseeings are situated at the other side. So I start walking to nowhere, the map was not really good and I did not know where I was going. So I walked back and found out I had to cross the bridge over the water to arrive the otherside. Normally when you see this street you don't think you can go there since it's for cars. But next to it there was a place for the ' walkers'.

When you are walking at the brigde you've got a great view! And when you walk down, you don't even hear so many cars anymore,  just great! Then I walked to the other side and turned left.

Here you walked to the Australian Most Important people of the year, or something like that. Don't know exactly. It started at the year of 1961 and until now. Then after walking in the sun and sitting in the sun (what you dont even notice since there was a wind) I searched for something to eat and that was difficult. There was nothing. I asked a guy and had to walk a few meters back and somewhere inside was a cafe. I took bread with cheese for $3,50. Expensive. Then I decided to walk back in the direction of the hostel. First I saw the Old Parliament house. The other new one was further away but I was so tired of walking I just wanted to relax.

In the evning I met an australian guy who lives in adelaide but work in canberra for the nxt 4 months. We went outside and he showed me some places where I could get some food. He was meeting a friend and then when I finished I went back to him. Walked abit around and I went back to the hostel and he went to a bar.

I grew up in Canberra, I'd struggle to recommend it to tourists, good place to grow up though :)
