Great Ocean Road
I just slept for a few hours and had to wake up way early. At 7am I walked to the meeting point where the bus of Gray Line would pick us up for the tour to the Great Ocean Road...
There were just old people so I was like OMG what will the day bring?
Jim, the driver was with us the whole day. And he was also the guy who gave us the information about the things what we saw.
With a great view I was sitting in the bus, upstairs in the front of the window, well second line. Great! As he said, every big city has his own bridge so does Melbourne. With this bridge we drove out of melbourne on the way to the Great Ocean Road.
We wanted to make a stop at the 'Bells Bay' but it was so busy and the port to the better place was closed so he decided to drove further to a nice place where we had some facilities.
With a very /- (zigzag) way we arrived at a small town called ' Anglesea' it was very pittoresk and we drank a very strange tea and eat a cocos thing which was very nice.
With more (zigzag) ways we went to the famous road: The Great Ocean Road. If Jim saw a nice picture view he stopped the bus and we could take a picture in a second and we drove further. At the afternoon like 12 o'clock we could have dinner. For just $10 more I already booked it and I choosed the chicken schnitzel with frites and salad which was pretty good. I did not expect that. Over here I met a swiss girl so had a nice chat and spent the day together since we were both alone.
After the lunch we walked further to the famous '12 apostles'. The sky was so clear and it was so beautiful.
I already knew there was a posibility to make a helicopter flight but it was so expensive so I decided (after some advice) to don't do it. But then I saw it, saw the sky and everything and I was like; I HAVE TO DO IT!!Hihihi.. you can guess! That girl decided to do it and she convinced me to do it as well. Oke here we go!! Whooho, the first time for me in an helicopter which was a wish of me (but then over the grand canyon). It was like $95 for 10 minutes but it was totally worth it. The man talked in way too fast english the safety rules and I did not understand anything of it. But I did not care. It was safe enough I thought. Then we could walk to the helicopter and I sat in the back. Got a headset so we could talk with eachother. There we go! It was such a great feeling, of freedom and more like a bird.
It's so much better then a plane and it was just great! 10 minutes is way to short because you have to make pictures and you have to enjoy the view but it was just great!!The next stop was at a beach 2 km next to it. The water is really cold but it got a beautiful view (except the tourists) and it was just great. Then we walked back to the bus at 4pm. We arrived at the next stop at 4.15pm. This was a small surfers town where we could buy something to drink or just walk around. We had half an hour time and did not know what to do. We decided to buy an Ice-Cream and sit in the front of the beach. Jim came to us and said: This is the real typical aussie life! Hihi, we did not know that but I liked it.
At 4.45pm we had to be back at the bus, but uhm.. we had a nice chat and just enjoyed the place that we totally forgot the time! The bus was already driving and fortunately they saw us and it was like: TUUUUT! Oohh we had to run, we were really too late.
The next stop was at the London Brigde and we just stayed there for 10 minutes and we were almost the first one who were back hahaha, we didn't want to back late again.
3hours driving back home and now I'm in the Hostel. It was a great day and I'm really looking forward to sunday: Pinguins!
BTW FOR EVERYONE WHO IS READING EVERYTHING AND SEE MY PICTURES, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I REALLY LOVE IT AND IT GIVES ME A GOOD FEELING :) THANK YOU!!
