Driving around in South Australia
Together with Shirley & Andrew have we visited some places around Adelaide. The main destination was 'The Bluff' and 'Victor Harbor' but before we arrived there we made some stops on the route.
First we visited a 'Bierhaus' to see if they were making beer at that moment, unfortunately they did not do that. So in a few minutes we went away to the second place. On a sign I saw ' Chocolat Factory' and since I'm addicted to chocolate I would love this place. We went inside and you could see how the were preparing everything. Of course I had to buy some chocolate, eastereggs, I've to miss that from the netherlands, so mum!! Keep some for me and just put them somewhere dad won't find it ;)
Next to this place was a Cheese 'factory' so we went inside.
Then we drove further to a small German town called: Hahndorf. It is typical german with a little bit of Australia. Very nice to see. We did not stop here but we stopped at small place with a lake. Well it must be a lake but because of the dry here and no rain the lake is getting sand and sand.
Before they had a lot of activities at the water but that's not possible anymore. It's already for a long time discussion in the politic. The river starts at Sydney down to Adelaide. But they take a lot water of it, so the water what has to arrive here, isn't there anymore. This place is called: Goolwa. We had a small drink and drove further to Port Elliot. There was an amazing view at the beach, so we just stayed here for a while. But the main destination was Vicot Harbor, this was the next stop. We went to the town to have a late lunch. Wednesday I've been to the Bluff as well but it was already dark so it was impossible to see some things, so we drove back. It was a great view. With a 'dirt road' and at the end of it there was a great view. You could climb to the highest point which is really ' The Bluff' but it would be very heavy so we didn't do that.
