City tour (tried to)
After thinking for a while I decided to do another tour then the Ayers Rock. There are 2 things that everyone is doing over here.
Choice 1: 3day tour to the Outback for $250,00. Read: 1st night no shower & toilets, sleeping outside
Choice 2: Half or full day to Ayers Rock. Most of the time it's around $150,00 for being in the bus for a long time and just see the rock!
Ayers rock is a must see, but in fact it's just a rock in the middle of nowhere where you do a have a beautiful sunrise or sunset with 1000 other people. I went to the travel agency to get some information what the best thing is to do. I decided to go to the West MacDonnell Ranges & Gorges. Will go there on friday. This is an area with rocks, lakes which are really cold but you cna swim in it.
The normal price is $118,00 Because I'm a 'backpacker' I had to pay $83,00 so it was much cheaper! I just walked around and had the lunch at KFCI found out what I wanted to see in the city, even there is almost nothing to see.
The first building I visit was the Residency. It was about the Queen victoria and nice to see. I even stand in the Bathroom of her. I talked for like 20 minutes with the women who was working there about australia, this building, germany, netherlands everything! Since 2006 you can have your marriage over there.
So we talked also about the Aboriginals. The only thing I knew before I came here, don't look them in the eyes when you are talking with them. But now I know more. This is not to be negative or something but this is just the feeling of myself, and some stories that i've heard.
They are really aggressive unfortunately and it's not safe to walk around in the night. They are sititng on the gras the whole day, just fighting with eachotehr and they don't work. I don't understand the way of living.
Well, at day it was 37degreesC and that's what makes me really tired! So I went back to the hostel very early just to relax.
