Finaly back in China again and I must say that Shanghai didn't let me down. It is a remarkable place no doubt about that. The skyline, the people, the traffic, the Bund, the taxis, the noice and so much more. We had really good time in this city visiting "must see's" as The Bund, Yuyuan Gardens, Pudong, Shanghai Zoo, Longhua Temple and Pagode, Pearl TV tower and much more.

The Oriental Pearl Tower
I really loved standing at The Bund of Shanghai and looking at the spectacular buildings towards the tip of Lujiazui in the Pudong district on the opposite side of Huangpu River. To one of the most remarkable building was The Oriental Pearl Tower, it looks like it is taken out of concept; as from a science fiction movie.

The TV tower was designed by Jiang Huan Cheng of the Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Co. Ltd and the construction began in 1991 and the tower was completed in 1995. The Oriental Pearl Tower belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers.

With a height of 468 m, it is one of the tallest completed towers in Asia. It was also the tallest structure in China from 1994-2007, when it was surpassed by the Shanghai World Financial Center.

When I visited it I had the good fortune of good weather and very few people
