Shanghai, China Travel Photos
March 12, 2007
The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is standing as a rocket from an early Tintin cartoon opposite The Bund as a sign of new times in China. The tower is build on the Pudong side of Shanghai and is something that makes me smile now that I got it somewhat distant from the experience I had when I was there.
The view from the top gave me the best impression of the magnitude of this city - It was almost impossible to see the end of it - and the number of skyscrapers for a guy that have lived in Copenhagen most of his life were breathtaking.
We were lucky to come there a day where we both had a faily clear view and few visitor to compete with in order to get a clear view and an elevator down. I could imagine that in the heat of the summer that this place could be a killer.
I think that the same rules apply here as of the Eiffel tower - be there early. You can also here chose to take one of three different levels - but go all the way up.
