Second day in Shanghai
This morning we were really early birds - we had a quick breakfast at the hotel and then left for a walk. Our hotel was very close to the Bund - about 500 meters nothing more.
We were happy to meet some almost empty streets. The few cars on the streets were still useing their horns all the time - it is an amazing noise. On the Bund there was display of mostly elderly doing tai chi or swinging swords for excercise. This was also the first time we really saw the skyline of the Pudong - and coming from little Denmark it was awesome. In the morning there was a mist lying like a grey carpet but we were still enjoying the view.
After walking The Bund we turned into the neighbouring area and we were met by the salesforce of China.
It was hard not to just jump into buying everything that they offer, but it is always a good idea to wait. The best thing is that you never feel any pressure to buy from the salespeople and if you like to haggle (and I do) then it is very funny. "What is your best best best price - no jokie price, look - look - very good" How ever you are doing it, alway have a smile and a happy face. This day Kaija bought so much stuff and I was looking like a pack donkey. A this day the packing for our trip home was very far away. I was really enjoying coming back to China and for Kaija this was a totally new experience with the smell, the noise and all these people everywhere. We walked a lot this day - always something new on every corner - the kilometers just flew. When we came back to the hotel - we looked at the map over the city - we had just walked in a very small corne of this big city.
At the hotel we decided to be nice to ourselves, so we booked 45 minutes of foot massage - for me I was the best ever - my god this girl had magic hands. The was the closest I had been to heaven that day.
