Tartare de filet mignon de veau à la truffe façon Alba,raw minced veal

                                                   This busy restaurant with 2 dining rooms and a semi open-kitchen is located near the Terreaux square ( Musée des Beaux-Arts,Fine Arts Museum),close to the river Saône banks,opposite the Fresco of Lyonnais.It is owned and run by Franck Delhoum,born in Aubagne in the south of France,then it offers a traditional French cuisine with Mediterranean touch.He is member of the cooks' association Les Toques Blanches Lyonnaises,a certain guarantee of good cuisine.

                                                 In the upper dining room a bit noisy, we were 5 at lunch:t 2 of us had the menu of the day for 15 euro,I had to day the 32 euro menu which seems a bit expensive for a lunch in Lyon in a quite" basic "restaurant with its quite"light" portions ( As the VAT is now 5,5 % instead of 19,6% since the first of July in French restaurants,I was a bit disappointed to see that people have to pay 2 euro more for the small veal tartare!!).I had ,as starter, a tasty,but small! tartare de veau( raw minced veal steak) with salad,my main course was a delicious rare rack of lamb with fresh young vegetables,then a classic red fruit dessert.
