Malmo Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

My trip to Denmark and Sweden in March 10-18, 2007. One reason for the trip was to find and photograph the town of Lönstrup where one of my ancestors emmigrated from.

Malmö Sweden - Day 3

Since today was a Monday and almost musuem, palace and any other tourist attraction was closed, we decided it was a good day to see Malmö.  Back to Copenhagen Central train station we went to catch the train to Malmö.  A 35-minute train ride under water, across Öresund Bridge and I was officially able to add Sweden to my list of countries visited.  We had no real plans in Malmö, so we headed out to just wander and explore the city.  A few hours and several miles later, we walked through the city to the Malmöhus Castle.  Afterwards, we decided to find the tallest building in Scandinavia, the Turning Torso.  A very interesting piece of architecture and a great photo opportunity.
