Visiting Rome, Italy and cruising around the Mediterranean calling into the ports of Savona (Italy), Kalamata and Piraeus (Greece), Izmir (Turkey), Rhodes, Lemesos (Cyprus), Alexandria (Egypt) then back to Civitavecchia which is the closest port to Rome.

Reality hits!

My tickets arrived via email today. So many things still to do in so little time. I depart in 13 days and I am giddy with excitement.

Hi Sylvia. Thanks for the tip, I must add a money belt to my list of thing to get before I leave. I will certainly update this as soon as possible. Cheers for now Brad.

Oh my gosh! How exciting! I love Rome.. ..( but you have to be careful there : wear a money belt and don't carry a wallet... ) If you are in Pirias long enough you can catch a cab at the wharf to the metro and go to the acropolis... Kalamata... is that where they have the "bronze's" that are so famous?... there is a blog called " deats " and he was just in Izmir and posted quite a few pictures....he's really a great guy .. but don't tell him I said that or he'll laugh... I harass him all the time... it really sounds like you will have a fun and exciting trip! ... make sure you post to Travbuddy to let us know what you are doing....Happy Travels! Sylvia
