The roads in Switzerland...how to explain them.  There are highways, with the tunnels that go through the mountains, or there are the more scenic, sometimes scary, top of the mountain routes.  To get to Locarno from Interlaken, we decided we'd take the scenic route.  We get halfway through this road, almost to the mountain top and then we come across a barrier.  We go back down to the information desk not too far away to find out why the road is blocked off.  They inform us that there is still 4 meters of snow at some places and there were signs at the bottom saying it was closed.  We did not see these signs anywhere, even when we had to go all the way back down, nowhere did we see indicated that the road was closed.  But it was ok, since we almost made it up to the top, it kind of made up for not being able to go to the top of Jungfrau.  We ended up taking the highways for the rest of the way, to avoid any more road blocks.
The area really reminds me of Italy, but classier and prettier.  But I'm not getting good luck with the weather.  It's always cloudy, so it's hard to get good shots of the Alps.

Like they say, it's not the destination, but the journey :)
