Porto, Portugal
April 6, 2009
So I figured I should get another perspective of Portugal other than Lisbon, so I went to Porto for half a day. I didn't get to see much though. Getting there in the afternoon with Emil, we went for a walk, then it started to rain. But hey, I tried. I learned that Portugal's cities are VERY hilly, it's a constant up and down.
I left the very next morning to catch a train back to Lisbon where I would catch my train to Paris.
Thoughts while in Portugal:
-It's really cheap here.
-People love singing, on the streets, in the buses, everywhere.
-The vibe here is very jolly, inviting and very relaxed. A nice change from Spain.
-There are huge bridges everywhere
-Instead of corner shops, there are pastry shops everywhere. Very frustrating.
