Mykonos, Greece
March 9, 2009
Even though I've studied cruises, having never traveled on one, I didn't quite know what to expect. Our tour manager told us that our room had been upgraded since there were so few people on the boat, I thought "great". Then I saw our room and I couldn't imagine how there existed a smaller room than this one. And I've never seen such a small shower, good thing the 3 of us got along. The boat can hold 1500 people, but there were less than 200 on board. Low season and all, this was worse than usual. Good ol worldwide recession. I decided to kill this jet lag and sleep all afternoon, until arriving to our first port, Mykonos, the party island, but the party doesn't start until July. We got to the island in time to see the sunset and take pictures of some sights. But as soon as the sun droped, so did the temperature. We (the girls and I) endured the cold to enjoy a snack and the company of some locals.
Side note: there are too many cars here for such a tiny island.
