Thoughts while in Belgium:
•The landscape I saw while on the trains really reminded me of home: homes had backyards, everything was so open and green, with fields and forests. Canada is so beautiful.
•There's so much beer! And it's so cheap! And every different beer comes in its own unique glass.
•Belgians love Ice Tea
•Belgium is known for 4 things: beer, chocolate, fries & lace. I've never seen so much chocolate and I've never seen people care so much about the preparation of fries, but I must admit that all these edible products are amazing.
•Belgians love their dogs, they bring them everywhere with them: on the bus, in stores, in restaurants as everyone is eating dinner. Everywhere.
•There were more parking spaces for bikes than cars in Brugge.
•So far the only things that I really like about Europe that I wish we had more in N. America are more natural energy systems and sophisticated public transportation. Pretty sad. It turns out I actually like N. America. Who knew
