We got back to Manila from Davao at about 11:00pm, but we would leave the next day for Hong Kong. It would be a spontaneous, last-minute trip for 2 nights, but it would be amazing.

We arrived as the sunset, which made for a picture-perfect arrival into the beautiful Hong Kong airport. Full of excitement, we went through customs, enthusiastically added stamps to our passports, picked up our bags and were soon on the train to downtown Hong Kong to our hotel. Hong Kong is easy enough to navigate since the majority of signs have English translations and it's not hard to find people who speak English as well. We took a taxi to the Conrad and made ourselves at home at our luxurious hotel, complete with pillow menus and a beautiful city view of Hong Kong.

Deciding that we would do Hong Kong right, we set out that night for a bit of adventure.

Seeking wonton noodles, we asked the concierge for a good place to go and took a cab to Tsui Wah Restaurant. Their wonton noodles were delicious. They are made with fish soup base, so if you are allergic you can ask for them dry. Again, we didn't have a problem with speaking English, because although our server didn't speak English, she just got someone who worked there who did speak English to serve us instead!

It is located in a very shopping friendly city, so we walked around a little bit before making our way towards the Star Ferry pier where we would take the ferry to Kowloon side so we could look back on our night view of Hong Kong. The panoramic view makes for some spectacular pictures so take lots!

We headed back to our hotel and promptly passed out.
