After months of a long distance relationship, I've made the decision to move to Taiwan to be with my honey. This blog will follow the whole journey, planning, to when I finally make it to Taiwan this summer! :-)

Yehliu Geological Park

I had seen pictures of Yehliu on Deat's blog from his trip out with Portia so this was on my list of must see's in Taiwan my first trip out.  We decided to make the north coast scenic drive and I wish we had more time to play here but definitely will be back.  For me, it was basically a chance to experience a little of what my life is going to be like once I get settled in here.  I can't wait for weekend ventures around the island and coming back to places like this!

Yehliu Geological Park is basically the site of a cape on the northern coast, between Taipei and Keelung.  There you will find amazing rock formations that are caused by sea erosion.  Some of the shapes include "Bee's hive" and "Queen's Neck".  This is definitely a place to come spend the whole day - lots of trails, caves, and beautiful spots to spread out and enjoy a picnic and incredible scenery.  It was slightly crowded the day we were there (Sunday) but I would bet it's not that crowded during the week.
