Narrowing Down Apartments

OMG I am overwhelmed! Brett is in Taiwan and has been apartment hunting. He's been taking my feelings into consideration even before I said I would move there as he wants to make sure I am comfortable when I do come out to visit. It's interesting to see the typical apartments in Taipei and how different things are from what I am used to. Something that seems so simple and basic to me - an oven! Most apartments don't have ovens! LOL. Many only have two burner stove tops.....WHAT? Apparently most people eat out or typical cuisine is only on the stove top, typically in a wok. But what about baking cookies?!?! :-)
Another area of difficulty is a washer and dryer. This is something that didn't strike me as too odd since I grew up in Los Angeles and unless you were super wealthy, you would never have one in your unit.
Some things of importance on Brett's list were parking (definitely key), a gym onsite, and I wanted a swimming pool! :P He sent me email after email of real estate listings and trying to learn what Pings are versus meters versus square footage. Arrrrrgh. It was beginning to seem like the perfect apartment didn't exist. Either there was parking and no oven, w&d, and gym, or there was amenities with a so so apartment - like having your living room window look directly in the neighbor's! LOL.
Brett toured apartment after apartment and forwarded me all these pictures to peruse. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
