Cingshui Cliffs
This area is located between Heren and Chongde on the Su-Hua Highway. There is a nice rest area with some scenic spots for photo opportunities. The Cingshui cliffs are formed by Chongde, Cingshui, and Heping Mountain coastal cliffs. The cliff is gneiss and marble and is magnificient to view. This particular area was designated as one of the island's "Eight Wonders" in 1953.
We didn't have time to really wander down the scenic paths (will save that for another day) but the cliffs and the area were absolutely gorgeous. It is amazing to believe what labor went into making the road that passes through this region and I would have to believe some, if not many, lives were lost during construction.
I read that you can get down to the beach in this area but we did not obviously go down...definitely saving that for another day! :-)
