Arrived at 6am this morning and got taxi truck to the place we wanted to stay. Obviously as it was 6am nowhere was open so we sat on the beach near a place we thought looked good and waited. In the end everywhere was full so got a taxi to Hat Rin. here we found a good place to stay.

Then we hired a motorbike, seems that anyone can ride them here. Matt drove as I didn't trust my driving skills. Some of the roads were comedy, whole parts falling away and really steep. Quite often I had to get off and walk up the hills as we didn't quite make it. Visited some waterfalls and grabbed some lunch- fried rice hasn't got boring yet!

Went to the beach this afternoon, I tried to even out the tan while Matt played little mermaid in the sea. Beaches stunning, sun, sea and sand- my paradise!

Not well today so didn't really do anything, wandered into town in the afternoon.

Hit the beach early today to avoid the sun- or so we thought. Not there for very long and lots of suncream (in my case anyway) but still got burnt so spent afternoon indoors waiting for sun to go in to go to town and rehydrate!

Left the Island today, heading for Bangkok. Another mission of a journey, taxi's, boats, tuk tuk's, pick up trucks and finally the bus! Travelled for 18 hours and eventually arrived in Bangkok.

Hello, Granny and Grandad here.
Lovely to follow your travels and hope your feeling 100% now, hope you like our choice of picture. Grandad just noted that it is a seering 4'C today, so no dodgy tan lines here. Hope you have a great time in Bangkok, all the best with the teaching when that starts. Speak soon,
G and G.

Hi Cat, I'm glad you're having so much fun! The kayaking sounds really cool - I used to think contending with swams was annoying but monkeys??? I'd stay well away. Caro xxx
