Going Out in Cozumel
January 29, 2009
Going out at night in Cozumel is low key. Don't get me wrong - low key is not boring. It's just not not the same energy that New York brings to your "night out on the town". And isn't everything fun when you're on a vacation? Yes. And then double that when you have some good company.
Food was good in Cozumel, but it got much better the further we went away from the tourist places. The restaurants around the town square can be cute, but they all had very average stuff. Go just a few blocks away from the square and you can find some real gems. Every place had a few dishes that really stood out.
The gelato place we found just 2 blocks from our hotel was awesome. I hit the place every night after dinner. Pistachio and Vanilla were the best flavors. And go for the waffle cones.
