We just got back from 4 days in Mendoza and it was great!  The drive over took about 8 hours by the time we drove with all the trucks and construction.  We also got "detained" at the Argentina border.  You have to prove that the car you are driving belongs to you and their car technically belongs to Trent's company.  The letter he had that said it was ok to take the car out of the country had expired.  They made us pull over and hassled us for quite awhile.  Trent had to go upstairs with them and get his company on the phone.  Technically they didn't have to let us cross, but they were nice and eventually gave in.  We arrived in Mendoza, got lost, but finally found the place we were staying  great place!  We checked in and then walked up to the store and got some cheese and meat and had a snack out by the pool.  We then walked into town around 9 and had a nice italian dinner.  We got up the next morning and went for a jog and then off to do some wine tasting.  It's different there because you actually have to make a reservation at the winery and then take a tour and then do tastings.  We got lost trying to find the first one, but were only 45 minutes late :)  After that we found somewhere to eat lunch (everything shuts down from 1pm - 5pm)  We relaxed by the pool and then went into the city of mendoza and had a great meal at Anna's Bistro.  It was so cool - it was an outdoor restaurant with lots of plants  - very cool atmosphere and great steak!  On saturday we got up, did the run and then off an hour north to the Uso Valley to tour Fournier winery and have lunch- it was amazing, such a cool buiding and a 5 course meal with the different wines.  Such a great experience!  We then hit one more winery and then drove back and relaxed.  We just went up to the little bar up the road for some pizza and beers for dinner.   Today we got up and headed back early.  The drive took about 6.5 hours this time and the border crossing went well!  Now just back from laying by the pool.  Going to take the dog and walk to the grocery store in a bit.
