Etretat
March 11, 2007
A quick day trip from Paris, Etretat is simply stunning. There are walking paths along the cliffs on each side of the beach which provide spectacular views. We were fortunate enough to enjoy our walk along the cliffs on a perfect (and not-too-crowded) early spring day. Most famous for its natural arch, Etretat also has a rock formation which resembles an elephant. The town itself is a typical tourist-y town but there are a few places to enjoy a drink with a great view of the beach. There is also a golf course on one side which borders the walkway along the cliff’s edge, although the natural beauty seems like it would be a distraction. Great trip!
