Poorly Located Nice Hotel
This is an excellent hotel - but unfortunately it is terribly located. The room itself was great, TV, en suite and very clean - it was around Christmas time when we went and it even had a Christmas Tree and decorations!
The restaurant was very nice and the food was good too. In fact, the hotel itself was very nice!
However, the slight let down is its location. Its a fair walk from Dortmund hbf (main station) and an even longer walk to the town centre. The area that the hotel is in must also be the dodgiest area in the whole of the City (possibly the whole of the Bundesland!) A lot of east Europeans live around the area, with foreign shops too. As a result a lot of dodgy looking gangs of men lurking around - something which is not great when you're walking back from town after a night out.
That is the only real let down really and so unfortunately that is the reason I don't recommend it - a real shame considering the high quality of the hotel.
