The smallest city that I spent the least amount of time had the biggest impact on me, in this last trip, Mostar is such a strange place. Such grand natural beauty and a friendly locals made it very hard to leave.

Mostar's wine is excellent! Really, the whole Balkans area. I can't say I had a bad wine in the whole region! Take Care! Brian

Hi Brian! We just met a girl from Mostar this summer--if we ever get back to B-H we will have to go here. Mostar wine is also excellent!

Art Studio Mostar - Original copper art by Ramiz Pandur
If you light up when you find someting unique and handmade when you travel, this is a place for you. If you appreciate artistic expression, this place is for you. I you enjoy watching the artist at work creating magic, this place is for you. If you appreciate a local artists view of their city, again, this place is for you.

The Owner, Ramiz, his wife, and his father produce, by hand, everything you see in this shop. It is all copper based but, is so much more than most of the copper art you will see in the Balkans. It's so much more artistic. It has much more life and depth. It's fun, and lively. It has much symbolism in every piece. There are 3 different types of pieces being produced. There are etched copper designs, silver on copper, and painted copper. You will be amazed at the workmanship involved in this time-somsuming process.

Ramiz is friendly and enjoys sharing the stories and explaining the work behind his pieces. It's like visiting a great gallery but, you can buy the masterpieces. Also, there pieces available in all price ranges based on size and complexity.

The little stone hotel between the two rivers......friendly and fantastic!
The sights and sounds at this hotel are amazing. You have beautiful views from your room or the terrace. Also, you have the sound of the rushing river to make sleeping very peaceful. First of all, the hotel manager, Adi, came to pick me up at the bus station, himself. The room I had was very quaint with windows that open to a fantastic view of the crooked bridge and the mountains beyond. My room was of generous size and the bath was clean. There was plentiful hot water. The hotel dirctor, Sami, even allowed me to borrow his laptop for 2 nights so that internet would be convenient. Can you believe that!!! The resteraunt serves up very tasty dishes and the wine is fantastic. Also, Baka, waiter / bartender / information, speaks very good English and was there to take care of any question or need that I had. You couldn't find a moe helpful person, anywhere....I would challenge you! So, to sum up things, If you want to have a peaceful, friendly, and relaxing stay......Kriva Cuprija is the place to stay in Mostar.
