New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel Honolulu

This blog contains general information about things to see and do in Honolulu/Oahu. I'll also use it for miscellaneous tips.
You don't need to stay on Waikiki Beach
If you want to be close to Waikiki Beach but not in the heart of it all, you should consider staying at the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. It's an oceanfront property at Kapiolani Park and it's only a 5 minute walk to Waikiki Beach. Adjacent to the New Otani is San Suchi Beach which is much quieter than Waikiki.

The Hau Tree Lanai Restaurant is in the lobby of the hotel. Their cuisine can be classified as contemporary Hawaiian. You have nice views of the ocean as you dine outdoors under a canopy of Hau trees. This resort casual restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love their eggs benedict breakfast. Mmmmmm…..

On the second floor is the Miyako Japanese Restaurant. I haven't eaten here.

I have a few friends that have stayed here. They have nothing but praises for the hotel. The rooms are bright and modern, decorated in a tropical theme. Most have nice views of the ocean, Waikiki Beach or Diamond Head.
