The Summary

Cerros "Hill" a Maya pre-Classic (350 BC - 250 AD) coastal trading center of more than 50 acres. This archaeological reserve is across Chetumal Bay from Corozal. The site sits on a peninsula at the mouth of the New River. This site is pre-Classic with no later construction. There are 5 temples, 2 ball courts and a canal system. The tallest building is 72'. Open 8-5; $3 fee. The site may be reach by heading NE from Orange Walk heading through San Estevan, to Cerros at the end of the road.
