The pictures here are not mine... They're of places I hope to see during the next few days in Vienna.

After Ana’s not-so-wild birthday event last night we were able to wake up early this morning and head to the airport.  It was snowing as we went outside to get into the taxi • it had been snowing all night and yesterday too.  Michał had arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 5.55 a.m. and as almost always in Warsaw, the taxi was more than punctual and was patiently waiting for us.  As we drove to the airport I was surprised to see how many people were out and about so early on a Saturday morning.  Everything was very white and very clean. The city changes a lot with snow. Unfortunately they have to spread sand and salt all over the place to keep the roads clear and people from slipping so within a few hours the white will become brown...

Check-in went very smoothly… We walked right into the terminal, and straight up to the check in counter.  No waiting at all.  Then we headed in to the departures area and had a cup of coffee. 

The flight boarded right on schedule. Funny how things work out so perfectly when you really are in no rush at all.  The only delay came when they had to de-ice the airplane.  We finally took off in the falling snow and the layer of warm foam that they had sprayed on the plane blew off as we taxied and took off.
