Falls Creek Campground, Wells Gray Provincial Park

Wells Gray Provincal Park Travel Blog › entry 16 of 34 › view all entries

traveling in Canada! From Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Inside Pasage to Alaska for one day. Through the Rocky Mountains and the prairie of Alberta to Calgary.
Intimate wilderness
The Falls Creek Campground is the last campground in Wells Gray Provincial Park. It is situated about 68 kilometers from Clearwater next to Clearwater Lake. We pick the last spot available: it’s first-come first-served (no reservations possible). Al sites are private with woods around them and a picnic table. There a no facilities, just a pit toilet and a cold water tap. Half an hour after we settled in an employee of the Provincial Park came for the fee and for buying wood for a campfire, he even borrowed us his ax because we didn’t have one.

It was a really beautiful spot!
