Vancouver day 2!
The weather is great so we decide to go out of the
city and visit Grouse Mountain. We take a bus just down the road; everybody is
really helpful in telling us where to change busses and when to get of one. We
drive through the north side of Vancouver till we are at the foot of the
mountain. For one brief moment we think about walking up, it’s a 3 km
trail which climbs 850 m…. we decide against it and just take the aerial
tramway. Up there the views are superb. It’s a clear sunny day so there is a
beautiful view over Vancouver and the surrounding mountains. We see our first
‘be-careful-for-bears-sign’. Mmmm, I don’t know if I get used to that.
After a couple of hours walking around on Grouse Mountain we take the
tramway down again and a bus to Lonsdale Quay where SeaBusses leave for
downtown Vancouver, Canada Place. Here we look at the enormous cruise ships
lying in the harbor and have lunch just down the road from the steam clock.
The rest of the afternoon we spent just relaxing and strolling through
the city. we spent our last evening in Vancouver looking at yet another sunset.
Starting tomorrow we're on the road...
