traveling in Canada! From Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Inside Pasage to Alaska for one day. Through the Rocky Mountains and the prairie of Alberta to Calgary.

Vancouver.

Our first day in Vancouver, Canada we explore the city on foot. We walk to Granville Island and after wandering over the food market we enjoy an ice-cream on the pier. From there we hop on a ferry to Sunset beach and walk towards Stanley Park.  After lunch we rent two bikes and peddle through the park for some sunny enjoyable hours. There are many routes and paths thought the park. We take the Seawall, along a paved path past totem poles and great views over the city skyline, the mountains and of course the ocean.  Once or twice we leave the path for a side road. We enjoyed it very much!! Later that evening, because of the vicinity of the ocean, we walk there for the sunset!

good location
The Best Western ‘Sands by the Sea’ is on a quiet location, the sea is just down the road and around the corner are good restaurants. Stanley Park is not far away, you can easily walk there.
Our room is very comfortable, with a big screen TV and a big comfy bed. The bathroom is clean and well stocked.
Breakfast is not included in the deal but it’s a good idea to eat here, it was a good deal for your money. There is a sports bar with TV screens for catching a game or just having a drink in the evening.
We enjoyed our stay here very much.
