Dinosaur Provincial Park
After a great shower and breakfast we leave the campground and park the RV at the fairly new visitor centre of Dinosaur Provincial Park. We wander around the small museum about this place. The location of the park is stunning. One minute you’re driving through endless prairie grasslands and the next you’re surrounding by hoodoos and pinnacles in a sandy dry place, as if you’re on the moon. On this world heritage site are some of the most extensive dinosaur fossil fields.
Before we get back into the RV for our last drive to Calgary we go for a short hike in the park. We meet a rattle snake catching some sun on the path.
We have lunch at Garth in Brooks and after that is our last stretch to Calgary, the big city. We find a Campground near the Olympic village and get a spot with views over outskirts of Calgary. Looking over the lights of the city we hear on the radio that they expect snow and the Calgary flames are playing against Edmonton.
