traveling in Canada! From Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Inside Pasage to Alaska for one day. Through the Rocky Mountains and the prairie of Alberta to Calgary.
Big Campground with all facilities
After about four weeks this is our last night in Canada and we spent it at the Calgary West Campground. It is located just off Highway 1 not far from the Canada Olympic Park. Our spot is on the highest point of the Campground, so we get an extra free view over the outskirts of Calgary. The sites are not very private. There are full hook-up sites available, open fires are prohibited. This is a big and well-run Campground with heated washrooms (with hot and cold running water) and shower and laundry facilities. You can buy groceries or souvenirs at the little store and there even is a heated outdoor swimming pool.
