Leaving our bags and meeting a "local" TB before the proper Pre Meet Up yeah! :)

Last year Frank attended to Lima Meet Up and he liked it so much that he organized one in his hometown: Puerto Rico! It'd be my 1st time in the Caribbean and couldn't think about a better way to do it than attending to a Meet Up :) Furthermore there would be a Mini Meet Up in Fort Lauderdale. Can't help it :P

this would be part of our tomorrow's schedule :P
It was so nice meeting Mark again. The 3 were reunited again. First time we met was in Lima and now in Puerto Rico, yay! We left the airport and decided to go to the hotel to check in, leave our stuff and maybe take a break. We'd decide later what to do next. Francisco chose a hotel in Levittown, which is close to San Juan and in front of the beach, just have to cross the road. Traffic was heavier than expected, but when you are in good company it doesn't matter :P

While we were doing the check in, Francisco got a call from a "local" TB. Well I cal her "local", since she's from California, but has been living in Puerto Rico for a couple of months. Nancy still doesn't know the country very well, so this would be the perfect opportunity for her to do it, how cool! Nancy was also excited about the idea of meeting a local friend, who lives close to her.
with his Peruvian souvenirs: evil corn & sweet tejas :)
They are practically neighbors, lol ;)

It didn't take us long to get ready to go out. We all were excited. Mark & me because of being the tourists and Francisco because of being the host. Although he has already attended to 3 Meet Ups, this would be his first one as host / organizer. Well, it deserved getting a Peruvian present. My original idea was taking either pisco or Inca Kola with me, but since I just took a carry on... I know how much Francisco likes the sweets, so I took some tejas with me and also remember the evil corn from our party nights in Lima, so the evil corn came with me too, hehe. We were ready and Nancy arrived, yay! She parked and we all left driving the TB car. The plan was going to "Old San Juan" and do some sightseeing, but how we would go there???

Great location so close to San Juan and other interesting places- Comfort Inn
Francisco recommended this hotel for the Meet Up in Puerto Rico and it was a great choice.

Since it wasn't located downtown, the prices are not as expensive as there, but let me tell you that it wasn't far. Ok, it wasn't walking distance, but the ferry that can take you there is just 5min away. Plus you'd like being walking distance to the beach and in a quiet place to relax.

This hotel was clean and the stuff was helpful. I called them to check my bathroom and they came promptly. Regarding the amenities, it's a shame wi-fi doesn't work good in the bedrooms, but it works perfect in the lobby, restaurant and pool! Yes, they have a nice pool.

The bed was comfy. 2 nights I spent here, slept like a baby, haha. The room wasn't too big, but had everything we needed. Bathroom wasn't big, but enough and the shower works fine.

You get complimentary breakfast, which is a buffet and you find also fresh fruits there. And the staff is helpful too. I asked them for paper and markers and I got them, lol.

And a plus is that there is a nice club/restaurant/karaoke just crossing the street, haha. Can you ask for any fun closer? Definitely I'd recommend this place, but have to check for availability in advance.
