thanks!
Flight was fine. I took a nap and before noticing it we were already landing in Fort Lauderdale. There was one thing in my mind the whole time... While Francisco was planing the Meet Up, there was a TB (Nicole) who lives in Fort Lauderdale, but would be in San Juan during the Meet Up. Bummer, we weren't able to meet... in San Juan... I was remembering she would take the same flight as me in her way back to Fort Lauderdale, so maybe... yes we met on the plane, haha. Well, look for the details here:

I have contacted Ashley, Joanne and Robert.
an addict, an addict
But couldn't talk to them while I was in San Juan. I tried to reach Ashley, but she wasn't answering, same with Robert. But I could talk to Joanne. She had a family reunion but offered herself to pick me up from the airport if I was lost, how sweet!!! Can I vouch for someone I met on the phone??? After checking my TB, I got Bill's number and we talked, but he wasn't sure if we'd be able to meet. Ok, ok, patience and no panic! And then... finally I could talk to Robert!!! yay!!! I woke him up, so sorry... :P

He would pick me up from the airport and babysit until it was time for me to leave to Lima, thanks!!! Well, it took us longer to meet at the airport than what it took to him to arrive there, lol! But we finally did it! In the meanwhile I was trying to contact Francisco, but no answer.
lunch time, new buddies: Robert and Yadi
I assumed he was on the beach. Then I saw Robert, yay!!! Fort Lauderdale was cool, but not as the last layover. Robert asked me what I'd like to do here, he even asked if I'd like to go shopping, how sweet!!! I had to refuse. I'd love to, but I didn't have space in my luggage. I guess it was a relief for him. He asked it, just because he wanted to be polite. I'm a girl and usually girls don't miss any opportunity to do some shopping, hehe.

I told him I didn't have any plans, just 1 thing in mind: the magnet, haha. So we went to the beach in order to take a walk, see some shops where I would find the magnet and also check for a nice place where we could get something to eat. It was becoming noon. Robert had a lot of patience. We went to different stores before I found the right magnet, haha.
Robert and Yadi at the beach - well close to it, haha
It shouldn't be so big, since I'm running out of the space on the fridge, lol. We wanted to drink a beer at a restaurant but it was before noon and they don't serve alcohol before 12 o'clock. Oh well, let's keep on moving. What could we eat? Well, we both loved fish and seafood, so there we go...

That was a nice restaurant and we sat outside, but not even 1 min later we moved inside, hehe. It was a bit windy :P We were about order a beer, but it wasn't noon yet. So we ordered an appetizer first. While we were waiting for the appetizer, the waitress came and let us know we could get our beers now. Ok! Please 2 beers!

For entree, Robert got shrimp and I got a salad with crab and tuna. Food was tasty, but was a lot, haha. We were just chilling out and chatting.
they were waiting for me, haha
Robert recently started to travel. He used to do it more as a tourist. Just a while ago he became a traveler and guess what. He loves it, haha. He has already attended to 2 Meet Ups, including the big NYE one in Amsterdam and really liked them. He's happy with this site and I hope I can help him with his future travels and visit him for longer in his new hometown.

After lunch we walked around, took some pics while we were sharing some funny travel stories, haha. I was telling him about my "adventures" in Europe, haha. It was hilarious. But it was time to keep on moving, plus it was getting a bit windy here. Ok, where to go now? Robert was the leader, I'd follow him, haha. Ok, first of all get a cup of coffee. It sounded great to me :)

In our way we were driving around Royal Palm Drive and surroundings, looking the small houses and tiny boats of the poor people, haha.
becoming the food, lol
Seriously, these houses were big and luxurious and so their transports. Having a yacht in front of my house??? well, I wouldn't complain at all, haha.

We also drove down the famous Las Olas Boulevard, where all the fancy restaurants and brand stores are located. Looks nice! I have been once in the city, but I was attending to a wedding, so I didn't have time to explore it, plus at that time I wasn't a real traveler. Now I like to get lost in the cities, hehe and so does Robert. I was trying to convince him to come and visit Peru. He wasn't sure to do it, since he didn't know anyone down there... hey! and what about me? he even suggested to organize another Meet Up, haha. Ok, let me think about that.

Finally we reached "Las Olas Riverfront", where he uses to go with his friends after work or during the weekend.
I had time
It looked like South Beach but less crowded, nice! The FLL Meet Up was here, mmm. Robert told me I had to come back to the city, but spending a night there, so I'd be able to enjoy the night life, mmm. I'm seriouly thinking about that.

I wish I'd have had more time here, but I had to go back to the airport and catch the flight back to Lima... I'm leaving sad, but happy about having a new friend :)

We arrived to the airport with plenty of time. I asked for aisle again and wished I'd have the 3 seats for myself, hehe. I love this airport! Clearing customs and security was a piece of cake! I got a soda for the flight and went to my gate.

Finally it wast time to board and guess what. I got the 3 seats for myself, haha. I was a bit worried, I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone, but the flight attendant was really kind and gave me some tips to get nice pics of FLL while we were taking off.  Well, it was time to say Bye Bye to USA! No clue when I'm gonna be back, hopefully soon... as usual... ;)
