I have contacted Ashley, Joanne and Robert.
He would pick me up from the airport and babysit until it was time for me to leave to Lima, thanks!!! Well, it took us longer to meet at the airport than what it took to him to arrive there, lol! But we finally did it! In the meanwhile I was trying to contact Francisco, but no answer.
I told him I didn't have any plans, just 1 thing in mind: the magnet, haha. So we went to the beach in order to take a walk, see some shops where I would find the magnet and also check for a nice place where we could get something to eat. It was becoming noon. Robert had a lot of patience. We went to different stores before I found the right magnet, haha.
That was a nice restaurant and we sat outside, but not even 1 min later we moved inside, hehe. It was a bit windy :P We were about order a beer, but it wasn't noon yet. So we ordered an appetizer first. While we were waiting for the appetizer, the waitress came and let us know we could get our beers now. Ok! Please 2 beers!
For entree, Robert got shrimp and I got a salad with crab and tuna. Food was tasty, but was a lot, haha. We were just chilling out and chatting.
After lunch we walked around, took some pics while we were sharing some funny travel stories, haha. I was telling him about my "adventures" in Europe, haha. It was hilarious. But it was time to keep on moving, plus it was getting a bit windy here. Ok, where to go now? Robert was the leader, I'd follow him, haha. Ok, first of all get a cup of coffee. It sounded great to me :)
In our way we were driving around Royal Palm Drive and surroundings, looking the small houses and tiny boats of the poor people, haha.
We also drove down the famous Las Olas Boulevard, where all the fancy restaurants and brand stores are located. Looks nice! I have been once in the city, but I was attending to a wedding, so I didn't have time to explore it, plus at that time I wasn't a real traveler. Now I like to get lost in the cities, hehe and so does Robert. I was trying to convince him to come and visit Peru. He wasn't sure to do it, since he didn't know anyone down there... hey! and what about me? he even suggested to organize another Meet Up, haha. Ok, let me think about that.
Finally we reached "Las Olas Riverfront", where he uses to go with his friends after work or during the weekend.
I wish I'd have had more time here, but I had to go back to the airport and catch the flight back to Lima... I'm leaving sad, but happy about having a new friend :)
We arrived to the airport with plenty of time. I asked for aisle again and wished I'd have the 3 seats for myself, hehe. I love this airport! Clearing customs and security was a piece of cake! I got a soda for the flight and went to my gate.
Finally it wast time to board and guess what. I got the 3 seats for myself, haha. I was a bit worried, I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone, but the flight attendant was really kind and gave me some tips to get nice pics of FLL while we were taking off. Well, it was time to say Bye Bye to USA! No clue when I'm gonna be back, hopefully soon... as usual... ;)
