Red Rocks!
And red rocks we saw... a LOT.
Well Tempe, AZ was all business. I really liked the college, and I plan on applying for admission once we get back to Florida. Okay, all the business is taken care of, time for some fun and sight seeing (like we were not already doing that lol).
This day, we drove from Tempe to Flagstaff. This is the shortest leg on our trip, 2nd only to Tuscon to Tempe. We turned off the interstate and headed up to Red Rock State Park. Spectacular view, it was worth the stop and walking around – though we did not do any hiking. We also did lunch here. After the park, we drove on through Sedona, though we didnt stop in the city its self, we stopped here and there for pictures. The road borough us to a part which we have named the wtf road. In all my travels, never hit a road that went up in elevation this fast and in this small of an area. It was a fun drive though and we stopped at the top to take a few pics and walk around. After this stop it was on to Flagstaff and hotel where we will be staying for a few nights. Tomorrow is the Grand Canyon.
