Great Hotel, convenient location
To start with, we paid almost $800 a night (!) for the Inaugural rates. (I'm guessing these are $195 rooms otherwise) Having said that, this hotel is extremely convenient to all of the sights in DC. The Metro station is virtually in the hotel and you can travel easily and cheaply throughout the city. We felt safe (the 100,000 police in the city for the Inauguration certainly helped). The staff did well taking care of the guests' needs with 100K's of people in the streets. Nice hotel, one sports bar and one upscale bar. The waitstaff was very good in both.
