Paradise Found
The Amalfi Coast must be one of the most idyllic places on Earth. We decided to drive from Rome to Praiano. The drive was enjoyable and scenic and we all had a great time. When we finally came upon Praiano we couldn't believe our eyes...it was just so beautiful. The Amalfi Coast is definitely the kind of place you can just get lost in...eating great food, drinking great wine, boating, fishing, sunbathing, nice music, friendly people, and absolutely amazing views!!
We ate at many of the small restaurants along the walk and every single one of them was incredible. As well, we took a drive to Ravello to take in a concert for the evening. The drive was nice but the music on the cliffside open air was even more amazing.
I imagine that when you visit the Amalfi Coast there can either be so much to do or nothing to do; I guess that's the beauty of it.
We opted for the latter...nothing to do but enjoy oneself. :)

The hotel restaurant was excellent and served breakfast daily with the room rate. I didn't have a chance to try this, but the chef offers cooking classes for those interested in Italian cuisine.
Another plus of this hotel is its location. It is in close proximity to Ravello, Amalfi, and Positano. A nice evening out, Ravello offers open-air concerts at many times during the year. Although not as close, Pompeii is easily visited as a day trip.
Only ten minutes from the hotel, and known to be the most popular and best nightclub on the Amalfi Coast, is Club L'Africana. This club is in two caves with a dance floor made of plates of glass so you can see the sea beneath you as you party the night away.
Overall this is pure paradise. So, grab a limoncello and soak it up!
