The next town is particularly fascinating.  The road climbs high above the stream bed, and far below is  a very long and quite flimsy looking suspension bridge and an entire village on the other side.  I find a path down the steep cliff to check it out.

It’s amazing to think that that village’s only connection with the outside world is that cable and plank bridge—which sways dizzily as you cross.  A couple of old men are slowly making their way across—it’s prayer time and there’s apparently no mosque on yonder side… Other young fellows cart boxload of vegetables on their backs…

What about construction material?  Bricks?  Cement?  Does everything get carried across this swaying bridge?

An old fellow asks me what I’m looking for—I tell him I’m just here to have a look around and he doesn’t seem to mind…

I cross back—and then notice a waterfall that seems to be spraying down from the trees—a real tropical sort of look… I take a couple of clips, and relax for a bit on the shore, enjoying the fascinating vibe of Imin Taddert…
