0251. Down the Penninsula (Sgl 03--new)

Hydrobase--quite likely it's technically part of of Saint-Louis, but I decided it should count as a separate town.  I walked along the sandy streets and sat in the shade of a couple of trees near the shore and pulled out my guitar.  I was promptly mobbed by a bunch of kinds who turned out to be a very entertaining audience...

Continued on to what seemed to be a tourism compound of sorts--under some trees a couple of scantily dressed European women were getting "African dance lessons" from a local... a funny sight... Had a chat with a couple of local musicians--this area seems to be a real hub for Senegalese musicians...

Met an interesting Italian tourist as I headed back to Saint-Louis.  He's in a somewhat serious relationship with a local lady and we had a good discussion on that whole topic...

...Back in Saint-Louis, had a lunch of the best grilled fish I've ever tasted, got my shoes sown up by a streetside cobbler... and headed on my way...
