London Snow's
02/02/2009
The heaviest snowfall to hit london in 18 years causes chaos in the capital, London transport comes to a stand still, Kids home from school and most adults have the day off work as Britain gets ''snowed in'' . Evidently the city is not equiped to deal with such weather conditions but today no one cares about disruptions as Londons sites become picture perfect.
It started to snow on the evening of the 1st feb I think every person in London was excited as we don't often see much snow around here, the morning of the second I was woken up by my mobile phone...... a phonecall from Dad ''Look out the window'' as I murmered a muffeled ''mehh ok'' I got out of bed and went to the window.
WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!! A blanket of snow covered the road, well the whole street really, it was so pretty! A little later on all of the kids were out making snow angel's and throwing snowballs.
I had the day off work, however Mummy being a police woman still had to go in to work... we spent the morning trying to figure out how she would be able to get to work as our road had not been gritted ... its a quiet street, she decided to ring in and ask for advice on how to get in to work that evening (night duty) ''well... its still early put your boots on and start walking!'' helpful advice it was 14 miles to her workplace. I could't help giggling at the woman's comment.
