My First Day at Moraine
So, the Tuesday before the 22nd, I had an interview at Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Van, and I got the job, and then that Saturday I had my stuff packed and I was flying to Calgary where my grandparents would drive me to my new job.
There was a family bbq and my aunt and uncle's place on the 21st, it was fun but I just wanted to go to Moraine so I wasn't really all there. The next day, the grandparents drove me to Moraine Lake, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, about 20 minutes outside the village of Lake Louise.
When I got there I went to the gift shop where I was to be working, and talked to the manager and she showed me my room, and my new roommate, a really cool Australian girl Eliza. I gave the grandparents a hug and went on a little walk around the lake, up the rockpile, took a few photos. Little Canadian trivia here, 2 $20 bills ago, Moraine Lake was on the front of the bill. I ended up getting one later on, it was exciting.
I then went back to my room to try and start making new friends. Me and a few of them watched a movie on my lap top (I was already a hit), until I had to go to a staff meeting to meet my new coworkers. It was exciting. They seemed pretty cool.
And that was my first day of the next 4 months.
