The Columbia Icefield!

So in order for me to make new friends, my manager Emma gave me Sunday the 29th off to go on a staff outing to the Columbia Icefield. I went with a bunch of people, Eliza, Monica, Steph, Kalina, Kyoko and Chiemi. We had to be there for like, 12 but we left really early so we could stop at a few really nice lookout spots on the way there. It was super hot that day but I was confused as to what to wear cause we were going to a glacier, so I wore a winter jacket. THAT was stupid in the van...
The first place we stopped at was nice, but I have no idea what the mountain was called haha, but we got some pretty cool photos! The next place we stopped was a short hike to Peyto Lake, which is amazing! the hike was not though.
We drove for a bit more, and finally got to the Icefield. It was SOO busy. Full of Asian tourists. Some of them are so rude! It was sweet though cause it costs 40 bucks to get in, but because we are "locals" we got in for free. We waited for a bit for the big bus to take us out to the other station thing where we would be taken in a huge huge vehicle down to the icefield. It was kind of scary cause the girl who was driving us was my age and she had to drive us down a really really steep drop in this thing.
When we got to the actual icefield we had like half an hour to walk around on it and drink glacier water. It was really cool, I drank the glacier water and put it in my water bottle. Yum. There were so many people there though it was crazy. We eventually had to go back on the big vehicle thing and head back to the building. We had to really hurry to get back to Moraine though cause a couple people had to work at 3 or 4.
When we got back it was soooo beautiful there me and Eliza went down to the canoe dock and hung out and drank some beers, it was awesome. There were so few really hot days there so everyone always took advantage of days like that.
