Look at me I'm driving the staff van

We woke up super early to drive to Calgary to go the the Stampede! It was the last day possible to go, and I went with my friends Eliza, Steph, Nord, Natasha, and Monica. I was driving there, it was a pretty intense drive. We stopped in Canmore to go to Tim Hortons, which was AWESOME. You don't realize how much you love those things til you can't have them!

I had got directions to go to park at a train and take the train down, but no one wanted to do that, so we got new directions to drive right downtown. However, we took a wrong turn! And it was kind of stressful finding it.. but eventually we did! And it was a beautiful day no clouds in the sky! It was a short walk to Stampede Park and then we were in! We had all decided we were going to go to the rodeo and try to get in as kids so it'll be cheaper.

I totally passed for 15, so it was only 6 bucks! I love the rodeo. It was kind of a free for all for seating in the area we bought tickets for, but we found seats all together and we all took turns going to buy beer. I actually got kind of drunk and it was like, noon. I called my dad and he said he wished he was there with me.. Made me kind of sad. But the rodeo was great! So many cowboys! And one of my favourite country singers, Aaron Pritchett from Maple Ridge, sang the national anthem!

After the rodeo we went to see all the farm animals! Eliza really wanted to see a llama, and I wanted to see the cows so I could take photos for my friend at home. There was a crazy horse show with this little girl too. I really wanted to go into Nashville North and see the band that was playing that I can't remember, but the line was waaay too long! So sad.

OOh I forgot, we saw a HUGE pig. With a lot of little piglets. We didn't go on any rides while we were there, which was unfortunate because I love rides. But I did buy some sweet mini donuts, which are the best thing about the stampede anyway.

After we left the stampede we looked for a pub to eat dinner at, we eventually found one and it was pretty cute, but the service was TERRIBLE. I couldn't believe it! I guess cause they were really busy... But still, it was awful. Luckily I didn't drive home, we were all soo tired! It was such a long day! But a really good day :) It was always nice being able to get away from the lodge once in a while.
