Waking up at 09:00u. the day started a little bit cloudy. But the temperature was high enough that a T-shirt was sufficient. After shower, going to breakfast downstairs for our first 'continental breakfast' (more will follow!). Some 'pain' and 'confiture' and coffee (tea for Sabine). The schedule we had planned, was already changed. The cab-driver offered to be our private chauffeur the next 3 days (for a reasonable price) so our transport will be guaranteed the next days. At that moment we could not expect what a very good decision that was. However, at 10:20u. there he was again. Ny was his name and his English was quite good (important, because our French is not that good). Off we go, through the busy streets of Tana. So this is a capital like in daytime. To much to mention. At least, the streets were so crowded and everything was on it; cars, busses, bikes, zebu-carts, people... for a European it looked like a disorderd traffic jam. But as we soon learned, there are some rules and with help of 'natural' circumstances most of the traffic is in control. Yes, there are many traffic victims, but (according to Ny) that's more due to bad-maintained cars.
